Isle of Raasay Trip September 2007 Raasay Primary 6 were joined by P6 pupils from Deshar for a 4 day residential trip to the Isle of Raasay Outdoor Centre. . Here are some thoughts from the pupils about their trip:
The two most exciting things about Raasay were sailing and kayaking. I give Raasay 10 out o 10 because everything was fun. By Rachel Smith On Tuesday me and Steven woke up to a not so bad morning. We got dressed and surprisingly we were first up! At about 10 am we headed off to go climbing and then we went abseiling. This was my favourite part of the day. By Iain Sandison. On Raasay I learned how to stay away from home for more than two nights. The two most exciting things I did were coasteering and kayaking. I give Raasay 10 because there were lots of fun activities and I did thingsI wouldn’t dream of doing. By Rebecca Rensner.
Wednesday was a fun day and a cold day! We did sailing and coasteering. The sailing was really fun because we all worked together and didn’t get wet. In the evening we did a quiz but the dolphin team won. Then we did a scavenger hunt. By Ellen Grant. When we went sailing it was a scary feeling for me in case I fell out but we didn’t. I give Raasay 10 because I didn’t feel homesick and the instructors were kind and fun. I liked my room mates too. By Steven Bird.
On Raasay I learned to coasteer really well. The most exciting things were playing games in teams and kayaking. I enjoyed all the activities ad really had a great time. By Megan Strother.
I give Raasay a ten because it was just so fun. On Wednesday I conquered my fear of heights while we were doing abseiling. Dinner was great and it was Alice’s birthday and she had a good time so I was happy for her By Anna Pilkington
