GREEN FLAG STATUS! The school was awarded its first green flag at the end of April 2007. On Thursday 26th April the school had its Green flag Status inspection. Two assessors from Eco Schools Scotland visited the school to find out about all the work we have been doing. Some of the children gave a presentation on the school’s action plan, Eco School Action Week, class work and the school grounds. The assessors were very impressed with what they saw and commented on how well the children had done during the afternoon. They were particularly impressed with our Eco School committee members: Aaron, Conan, Megan, Rebecca, Finlay and Ellie. Congratulations to them and thanks to all members of the Eco committee for their help. Some of our initiatives; Trashless Tuesday, Explore Abernethy leaflets and Topic Programmes are to feature in case studies for the Eco School website.
