Abernethy Primary School

This website has been produced to provide information about our school. We believe that a positive partnership, based on an open friendly relationship between staff and parents is essential to every child’s education.

Parents are invited to school to attend consultation meetings, assemblies, concerts and sports events so they can understand the aims, philosophy and organisation of the school.

The school is always open to parents.

I am generally in school from 8.30am to 5.00pm.

The School

Abernethy Primary School is situated on the outskirts of Nethy Bridge in a woodland setting.  The building is spacious and well equipped to meet the demands of today’s curriculum. The children enjoy the use of an attractive play area of field and woodland.  A wildlife area and garden have been created.  The school has a large gymnasium and an excellent stage. Three full-time teachers currently staff the school. The school Chaplain visits the school once a week, to talk to children in relation to RME and to hold assemblies.
